My work is a reflection of my past experiences with nature’s organic textures, colors and movements. I am interested in traditional forms that exist in our consumable world, deconstructing the representation by altering the vessel to signify nature’s patterns, movements, shapes and oddities. By doing this I am playing with the notion of humanity’s ability to consume for value.
Alterations in my work are inspired by life and the elements that are presented in life. Playing with hard and soft lines, transparency and movement I am caught up with the idea that nature has color, patterns and textures that we as humans spend time to experience and fixate on. I am exploring what influence nature has in human perception and asking questions like, why do we all watch rain fall? Such an action promotes an audience. Such questions drive me to recreate what I feel is the visually interesting. Contact
